1. Sell your belongings

Organize your closet, find items you don’t need that you can part with and make extra cash from selling those items. Separate the items you are keeping and have a separate stack of items to sell. Concentrate first on the items that have a high dollar value (items like electronics, musical instruments and golf clubs etc.) to get extra cash quicker. Some ideas for selling these items is through Craigslist, eBay or just make your own garage sale. Price your items so that they will sell. We all want to get the best price for our for sale items. Unless you know the value of the items you are selling, it s best to sell your items at reasonable price and get whatever cash value that you can get. Clear out and sell those items and move on to your next money making idea.

 

2. Work a job

We are in a process of progressing income! In light of your financial situation and you are in need of money, go and work a job for a while.  Decide the amount of hours you want to work each week, whether it is full time or part time.  Many part-time jobs are available seasonally.  Like during the summer months or during the holiday season.  While working a job, you can earn extra cash, you also can learn other skills that will be helpful in reaching your financial goals. Keeping in mind that working the job is to help produce income for us at the moment as we continue on different ways that we can earn extra cash.

3. Home repair service

If you have home repair skills, consider doing this as a side job. Doing carpentry work, fixing leaky faucets, repairing holes in the wall and repairing window screens is a small list of the many different types of work that can be done repairing homes. Depending on where you are located, there may be a high demand for home maintenance repair work. Price the cost of your work on the high side. Get extra cash by getting paid for your skills.

 

4. Moving/hauling service

Make use of your truck and have a moving/hauling service in your area. Determine how big of a load you transport based on the truck that you own. Decide how far of an area you want to cover doing this service (for example, no further than 45 minute drive away etc.). Be sure to factor in the cost for fuel and a helper to move heavy items around.

 

5. Yard service

If you like being outdoors, do yard work as a side job. With some basic hand tools, a lawn mower, weed trimmer and blower, you can be making some bucks in the afternoons or on the weekends. Mow a yard, rake leaves or even trim a hedge. The great part of doing yard service is that you get extra cash and also get a good workout pushing a lawn mower around the yard. Take a drive in a nice neighborhood. There are homeowners who don’t like to do yard work or they just don’t have the time for it. In this day and age, the internet has become a powerful tool for many individuals to use. By harnessing the power of the internet, people all over the world can be reached through the internet. Your blog can potentially make extra cash while you are sleeping as people in other parts of the world are reading your blog. You are basically writing on topics or subjects that you are knowledgeable about and sharing it with the world through the internet. There are many ways to blog and earn income. 7. Become an instructor/private lessons

Consider tutoring people or giving private lessons. There maybe someone on campus that needs help with studies in a certain subject. You could post up flyers or place an ad in Craigslist. If you’re a musician, use your talent to make yourself a side income. Teach people how to play your instrument. Whether it is guitar, piano, drums or whatever the instrument is, there are people willing to pay for these services. Tell people to spread the word and make extra cash doing something that you enjoy.

 

8. Rent a spare room 

If you got a spare room in the house, consider renting it out to make extra cash every month. Research your area to determine competitive rental rates in your area. Pay attention to the cleanliness, appearance and presentation of the room can help command a higher rental rate.Cosmetic things like shampooing the carpet, giving the room a fresh coat of paint and having a being sure the room is well lighted, can mean more income for you! Your decorating service can decorate homes or businesses during the holidays. You can even decorate for weddings and parties. Other decorating opportunities are decorating a home that is up for sale. Decorating that home to feel like a home to a buyer will make the sellers happy and give you an opportunity to charge a higher service fee.

 

14. Become a Wedding or Party Planner

Being well organized is key to being a successful at planning weddings or parties. The MOST IMPORTANT objective in being successful as a planner is making sure that the event is memorable for the client or host. You would work with the client on how they envision the event to be. You would then organize the event by coordinating all the elements that make up the event. That includes securing the time and location of the event, tables/seating, decorating and a program. Pay attention to the many details and this service has the potential to make some good extra cash for you.

 

15. Start a Cleaning Service

There are homes where couples are so busy with their work and family schedule, that they have a difficult time finding a time to tidy up or clean their homes. Chores like vacuuming the carpet, sweeping/mopping the flowers, dusting the furniture and cleaning the bathrooms are some of the task that you would be doing. Visit the home to see the work that needs to be done. If it’s a large house, it may take up to a day or more to clean. If the homeowners have children with a lot of toys and the place is a mess, these are situations you can charge a higher rate. It is probably best to bring in an extra helper. You could have a friend help you and they can get paid also. The both of you can just have a fun time accomplishing the goal of cleaning these people’s home.
